Meet Cast CleanSince 1977, J.B. DeVenne has specialized in inorganic binder technology. We help manufacturers in North America and Europe stay competitive while responding to evolving environmental requirements.
Cast Clean is J.B. DeVenne’s family of inorganic foundry binder systems for sand molds and cores. A system typically combines a Cast Clean Binder with a Cast Clean Catalyst, selected for the foundry’s sand, alloy, curing process, and production requirements.
An inorganic foundry binder uses mineral-based chemistry to bond sand grains into molds and cores for metal casting. The mold forms the outside of the casting, while cores create internal passages or cavities. Cast Clean is a modified silicate-based inorganic binder family developed for these foundry applications.
Cast Clean offers an inorganic alternative to organic resin-based foundry binders. J.B. DeVenne reports reduced binder-related VOC emissions and odor. Actual emissions and compliance depend on the complete foundry process, including coatings, additives, and other emission sources.
